Newnan Landscape Supply Company – Simple Strategies for a Private Retreat

We know that in the hustle and bustle of this busy world in which we live, that coming home to a peaceful and private retreat can be the best solution for a person. Fortunately, creating that peaceful retreat doesn’t have to be that complicated; in fact it is really quite easy. We have put together a few, simple tips that can help you transform your property into a private retreat from the busy world.

A lot of people immediately think to use fences when trying to create a private area, but instead of using fencing, which can be extremely expensive, consider using lattice. It looks fabulous and is easier on the wallet. You can also use lattice to show off climbing vines or roses – adding to the beauty of your backyard retreat and garden. If you already have fencing in place, but want to go for a less “dull” look, think about planting flowers that will rise above the fence, creating a great look and even more privacy. And remember, if you choose lattices or fences, you do not have to install them around the entire perimeter of your yard. If you have just one problem area, just put a panel or however many you need, where you need it. A great way to save money and it gets the job done.

If you don’t really like the idea of using fencing or lattices, hedges or trees may be a good fit for you. Tall hedges or a thick tree will keep your yard private from your neighbors, but in a more subtle way than a fence or lattice would. There are so many choices, too, when it comes to using hedges and trees. Just make sure to research which type of plants will be best suited for the climate and environment that you reside in before making a big purchase.

Of course, one of our favorite ideas is using a tall-growing garden – or even planting your flowers on a high-rise bed. You can easily build up your plants by adding extra soil before planting. This will not only give you privacy in a subtle way, but will look absolutely gorgeous. It is a great way to show off your garden and create a wonderful focal piece for your retreat. Once again, just make sure to research which flowers and plants are best suited for your climate.

Keep in mind, as well, that you do not have to choose just one of these options. Creating layers in your yard, by using multiple options, such as lattices and hedges, will give your retreat, not only privacy, but gorgeous imagery.
